Crows co-captain Rory Sloane wants to give fans an insight into the life of an AFL player.

Adelaide’s season kicks off on Saturday against Hawthorn and Sloane has been putting in the hard yards both on and off the training track.

Armed with a GoPro, Sloane has been shooting behind the scenes footage to create a hype video to share with fans.

Speaking on The Crows Show, brought to you by Optus, the Adelaide midfielder said he wanted to get fans excited for Round One.

“The piece I wanted to create was to give the fans a little point of view of what it’s like to walk out of the race and what I might feel on game day,” Sloane said.

“It’s just a hobby at the moment, but it encourages me to get out more and showcase what I do everyday.

“When you put stuff to music and slow it down, you can really build the suspense and give it some life.”

Sloane said his interest in videography grew from his brother’s interest when they were children.

“I was always part of that and would watch the stuff he makes from trips away or time with family and friends,” he said.

“I used to love watching them and I sort of got an interest from that.”

Also on The Crows Show this week, we hit the links with coach Don Pyke as he takes on former Crows coach Graham Cornes at Glenelg Golf Club.

Brodie Smith will be quizzed on how much he knows about teammate Paul Seedsman and Reilly O’Brien discusses his hopes for 2019.

For the full interviews and more behind-the-scenes insights tune in to Channel Seven at 11.30am on Sunday for The Crows Show, brought to you by Optus.

The show will then be available on afc.com.au and the Crows app.
