Adelaide has secured the future of four promising young players with Keeley Kustermann, Amy Boyle Carr, Lily Tarlinton and Brooke Smith extending their contracts with the Club.

Kustermann and Boyle Carr penned new two-year deals to 2026, while Tarlinton and Smith have signed one-year extensions.

After playing two games across her first two seasons, Kustermann enjoyed a breakout year in 2024 after a move to the wing and forward line saw the 20-year-old feature in 12 games including the Crows’ four finals.

“Keeley had to bide her time for an opportunity but once it presented itself this year she grabbed it with both hands,” Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said.

“We were really pleased with what she showed this season and are looking forward to seeing her grow and develop over the next two years.”

Irish recruit Boyle Carr impressed in her first season, quickly learning the rules and refining her skills to play six games.

“Amy had never played Aussie Rules before she arrived in Australia earlier this year, so to pick it up as quickly as she did is a real credit to how hard she worked,” Harper said.

“She brings speed and agility to our team, and we are looking forward to seeing what she can do next season with a proper pre-season under her belt.”

Tarlinton extended her contract after completing her first season at West Lakes in which she featured in two games, including a final.

“We were really happy with Lily’s performances when she got the opportunity at AFLW level and in the scrimmage matches this year,” Harper said.

“She has shown a lot of potential, and she has fit into our group really well, so we are excited to have her on board for another year.”

Smith played two games in her second season at the Club, before suffering a collarbone injury in Week Four and missing the remainder of the season.

“The injury came at an unfortunate time for Brooke, she had just found her way into the side and was playing some good footy,” Harper said.

“She’s worked extremely hard at her rehab since, and we know she will come back bigger and better next season.”
