Versatile tall Lily Tarlinton will make her AFLW debut in Adelaide’s Week Seven match against Melbourne on Wednesday night.

The Crows selected Tarlinton with pick No. 34 at the 2023 AFLW Draft.

She kicked 16 goals in 14 games for Bond University in the QAFLW in 2023, helping the Bull Sharks to the Premiership.

Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Tarlinton’s versatility would be an asset to the side, as it looks to notch a sixth win.

“Lily is a tall player and she is quite versatile, she can play in the ruck if she has to, she can play forward and she can play down back, so I think you’ll see her get a go at all three of those,” Harper said.

“She’s quite an athletic person, she’s come from a long way back, but she’s trained really hard and everyone is really pleased she’s going to get a go.

“Lily grew up as a Crows supporter, so it’s a great thing for her and her mum and dad will come from far north Queensland to watch her debut, so it will be a great day for the family.”

The Crows will name their Week Seven team on Tuesday at 5.50pm.

Adelaide hosts Melbourne at Norwood Oval on Wednesday at 7.15pm.

The match is the Crows’ first mid-week future and it will double as wing Niamh Kelly’s 50th AFLW game, as well as Pride Round.
