Utility Najwa Allen is continuing her rehabilitation as she navigates her way back from a hamstring injury.

Allen, who suffered the injury during the pre-season, experienced another minor setback at training last week.

“Unfortunately, when Naj is getting to the high-end speed, she can just feel her hamstring again,” Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said.

“The medical team is saying it’s to do with the scar tissue that’s there from her initial hamstring strain, so that’s a setback again for her.

“It’s frustrating for Naj and everyone else but we will start again and see how we go in the next one to two weeks.”

First-year player Tamara Henry will be sidelined for the next couple of weeks after injuring her shoulder in the scrimmage match on Saturday.

“In the practice game, Tamara’s shoulder popped out and popped back in again, which is disappointing for her as that’s now twice that’s happened,” Harper said.

“The plan is to try and strengthen her shoulder back up again,  however she will definitely need some surgery at the end of the year, but we will give it one more go.

“If it pops out again, she will need the surgery straight away but if it doesn’t, hopefully, we can get some games into her because she is looking quite promising.”

As confirmed on Monday, forward Eloise Jones has been ruled out for the season after injuring her Achilles in the Crows’ win over the Hawks on Sunday.
