Adelaide has added three players to its extended squad ahead of its Round Three game against Hawthorn on Sunday afternoon.
The Crows will play their first home game of 2024, with Season Six Premiership midfielder Teah Charlton in line to return from a foot injury.
Charlton lined up in Adelaide’s scrimmage game last weekend and got through unscathed, helping to push her case to play her first AFLW game of 2024.
“We know what a great player Teah has been over a long period of time and it’s been a long road back for her with the injury,” Adelaide Head of Women’s Football said.
“Teah has played a lot of games and she’s got a lot of experience, so we’re pleased she’s been able to put her name up for selection this week.”
Second-year player Brooke Smith and small forward Jess Waterhouse feature alongside Charlton as additions to the squad.
“Brooke has had a magnificent pre-season and then unfortunately had a quad strain so was in the rehab group for three or four weeks, which cost her a chance to be in the side,” Harper said.
“She played well in the scrimmage last week and this is a reward for effort.
“Jess kicked half a dozen goals in the scrimmage last week and is banging the door down to be in the side.”
The Crows will name their final team on Friday at 4.30pm.
Adelaide hosts Hawthorn at Unley Oval on Sunday at 12.35pm.
The game will mark Premiership Crow Caitlin Gould’s 50th milestone match.
There will also be plenty on at the ground, including a Bird in Hand Sparkling Bar and a sign making competition, plus more.
