Adelaide has added three players to its extended squad to face Fremantle on Sunday afternoon.
Forward Caitlin Gould is set to take her place in the forward pocket, after missing the Crows’ season opener against Port Adelaide with a quad injury.
Hannah Munyard also returns to the squad, having overcome a hip injury she sustained in the pre-season, and is named on the extended bench.
Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said it was exciting to welcome the duo back after completing “strong pre-seasons."
“Both Caitlin Gould and Hannah Munyard come back into the squad after completing strong pre-seasons that unfortunately ended with picking up slight quad and hip niggles in the past couple of weeks,” Harper said.
Second-year Crow Brooke Smith rounds out the inclusions, taking her spot on the extended bench after impressive form on the track in recent weeks.
“Brooke Smith comes into the squad after some strong training form and impressing with limited time in last week's trial,” Harper said on Smith’s inclusion.
The Crows’ eight-player extended bench - which consists of Munyard, Smith, Jess Waterhouse, Taylah Levy, Brooke Boileau, Deni Varnhagen, Brooke Tonon and Kiera Mueller - will be cut to five when the final team is confirmed on Friday afternoon.
Adelaide will be looking to claim back-to-back wins when it travels to Fremantle Oval to take on a Dockers outfit fresh off a Round One victory.
This will be the first time the Crows have faced Fremantle since Round Seven in Season Seven (2022).
The clash starts at 4.35pm (ACST) and will be broadcast live on Foxtel/KAYO and 7MATE in South Australia.
