Crows forward Taylor Walker has tipped teammate Ben Keays for a maiden All Australian selection in 2024.

Now in his ninth season in the AFL - and fifth at West Lakes - Keays will finish with a career-best return for goals, goal assists and marks inside 50.

Following Round 21, the Crows No. 2 has kicked 29 goals. His previous best was 22.

“I’ve got a smokey for All Australian… Ben Keays,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo, Ditts & Loz on Tuesday morning.

“He averages 15 disposals a game, four tackles… He’s got a very well-rounded game.

“I think he’s a smokey to get in there - his season has been outstanding.”

Following a slim loss to Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, Adelaide will now shift its focus to hosting the Western Bulldogs this weekend.

The Dogs are in red-hot form, having won five of the last six matches since the bye.

“They are very, very good at the stoppage and like to use handball,” Walker said.

“We’ll need to pressure them as much as we can.

“If we can break even at the stoppage, we can give ourselves a chance ahead of the ball to get it into big Filthy (Riley Thilthorpe) and Fog (Darcy Fogarty).”

Adelaide will face the Dogs at Adelaide Oval on Sunday at 3.40pm.
