Chairman to continue with Crows
The Adelaide Football Club today congratulates chairman Rob Chapman on his appointment as CEO of St George Bank.
Mr Chapman retains overall responsibility for BankSA and will continue as chairman of the AFC.
“This is a great career opportunity for our chairman and on behalf of everyone at the club we congratulate him on such an important role,” Crows CEO Steven Trigg said.
“To be clear, nothing changes with respect to Rob’s role within the football club. Our Board have been well across this issue and are totally supportive of Rob fulfilling his role as chairman.
“To also be clear, nothing really changes in terms of Rob’s time commitment to the Club or his ability to fulfil his duties as he has already been working across both areas and in both states for some time. What that means is that Rob will be on the road a fair bit and, as he has been already, residing in both Adelaide and Sydney.”
Mr Chapman today said: “I’ve been balancing roles between BankSA and duties in Sydney for a very considerable time already and hopefully have clearly demonstrated an ability to fulfil my obligations as chairman, as all stakeholders would expect. And I expect this will continue to be the case.
“We have many sizeable issues on our agenda at the moment and I fully intend to see them through.”
