Premiership star Caitlin Gould has re-signed with the Crows after a breakout season in which she emerged as one of the best forwards in the competition.
Gould has signed a one-year extension to remain with Adelaide until the end of 2025.
The versatile tall had a standout campaign last season, being named in the All-Australian Squad for the first time and finishing third on the League’s goal kicking tally.
Gould’s stellar season coincided with a move from the ruck to the forward line, where she was the only player in the competition to kick a goal in all 10 rounds.
The 24-year-old said she was looking forward to building on her forward craft over the next two seasons.
“It’s an absolute privilege to play for the Adelaide Crows and to add an extra year on my contract is really exciting,” Gould said.
“Playing up forward was a different experience for me last season but one I really flourished in and I was super thrilled to have the coaches believe in me.
“We have such a great group and the girls have trained so well in the off-season period so it’s going to be a great season which is super exciting.”
Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Gould had become a key pillar in Adelaide’s forward line.
“Caitlin took on the role of key forward last season and made an immediate impact,” Harper said.
“Her aerial presence and contested marking ability has been really impressive and her ability to play ruck and forward gives us a lot of flexibility.
“We are really pleased that Caitlin wants to commit to the Club and are looking forward to seeing her continue to develop.”
