Adelaide Senior Coach Matthew Nicks has provided an update on forward Taylor Walker, following the loss to Hawthorn on Saturday.

Walker was subbed out of the match at the MCG at half-time due to a back complaint.

Nicks told the media post-game the veteran's back "seized up".

“Taylor’s back seized up unfortunately so that’s one we’ll have to have a really good look at," Nicks said.

"We’ll keep an eye on it.

We have a 5-day break now so it’s going to be quite challenging for him to get right.”

Walker will be assessed in the coming days.
