Former Adelaide Captain Rory Sloane’s playing days might be over he will be right back in the thick of the action at Adelaide Oval next week.

Sloane has been unveiled as the first personality to be dunked with icy water at the SA Freeze event, as part of Adelaide’s Round 13 clash with Richmond next Thursday night.

“I think I’m as prepared as I can be,” said Sloane, who has retired from playing due to an eye injury but continues to train at West Lakes.

“All those years surfing in the cold Victorian water and I’m in my pool at home all winter – if I’m ever having a bad day I jump in and it seems to fix everything.

“So I’m looking forward to it but more importantly I’m looking forward to South Australia doing our bit to raise money for Fight MND which is such an important cause.”

The Crows have launched a special SA Freeze membership which includes a ticket to next week’s game and a special edition Big Freeze 10 Beanie, with 50 per cent of proceeds being donated directly to Fight MND.

Other celebrity dunkers will be announced in coming days.
