Kuwarna is set for more footy under the bright lights of Adelaide Oval after the AFL today released fixture details for Rounds 16-23.

It will play five of the last nine games at Adelaide Oval while making trips to the Gabba, Marvel Stadium, SCG and Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium giving the Club’s interstate fans a chance to see the team in action.

There is one Friday night game against Essendon at Marvel Stadium in Round 19, and three Saturday night games at Adelaide Oval against GWS in Round 16, St Kilda in Round 18 and Port Adelaide in an away Showdown in Round 23.

The remaining games are either Saturday or Sunday twilight fixtures against the Lions at the Gabba in Round 17, Hawthorn at home in Round 20, Geelong on the road in Round 21 and the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval in Round 22.

Kuwarna CEO Tim Silvers said the fixture had something for everyone in the Club’s supporter base.

“More footy under lights in the back half of the season and three Saturday night games at home is a great result for us,” Silvers said.

“It gives us every chance of pulling big crowds, and our fans have already proven they show up with our average crowds at Adelaide Oval sitting at over 46,000 this year.

“While every team would love as many marquee timeslots as possible, we all acknowledge a number of contributing factors including on-field performance go into the fixture planning.

“A blend of time slots appeals to more of our members and supporters and especially those living in regional areas, and likewise our interstate fans will have the chance to see the team with games in Geelong, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.”
