Adelaide forward Taylor Walker says he is feeling the fans’ frustration, after the side suffered its fifth loss of the season against Essendon last Friday night.
The Crows fell by three points in a thrilling finish at Adelaide Oval, but as Walker admitted, were outplayed by the Bombers for the majority of the night.
Speaking to Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M Adelaide Breakfast, the 33-year-old said the performance against Essendon was “unacceptable” and both players and supporters should expect better.
“We can keep saying it’s a learning, but as Crows fans you are probably sick of us saying it’s a learning,” Walker said.
“We did a review of the game yesterday, and to put it simply, they were better than us in the contest and pressured us much better than we pressured them.
“It (the way we played) was unacceptable and we are getting sick of it, so we need to pull our socks up and own up to what we are dishing up at the moment.
“It’s nowhere near consistent enough for what we expect, let alone what our fans expect of us.”
Adelaide will get the chance to respond when it faces North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena on Saturday at 1.15pm ACST.
The Crows will don an Anzac Guernsey for the first time to commemorate the special round.
