Adelaide has added a string of promising talent to its list, including another former Australian basketball star, after the 2018 AFL Women’s Draft on Tuesday.
With its first-round selection, the Club called

The 35-year-old will once again line-up alongside former Adelaide Lightning teammate Erin Phillips when she joins the side in 2019.
Her rapid rise in the
At pick No. 37, Adelaide chose comeback kid Chloe Scheer.
The 19-year-old was on track to be drafted in 2017 before rupturing her ACL late in the season.
Before her injury, Scheer took out the Under-18 best and fairest medal as well as the senior award, the SAWFL’s equivalent of the Magarey Medal, at just 16 years of age.

SA local Katelyn Rosenzweig (No. 41) and Northern Territory-based Danielle Ponter (No. 48) were also chosen by the Crows.

Rosenzweig, along with Gore and Scheer, already have a connection to the Club, as alumni from the Crows Girls High-Performance Academy.
Ponter debuted for her Northern Territory Football League club St Mary's as an 11-year-old and won the best and fairest award that season.
A 171cm forward/midfielder who went on to represent the Central Allies at the Under-18 National Championships, Ponter was also selected in the AFL Academy.
The 18-year-old niece of Essendon great Michael Long, Ponter played
Adelaide’s final selection was 21-year-old Hannah Martin, with pick No. 51.

Prior to the draft, Adelaide strengthened its midfield when it gained former Giant Renee Forth and ex-Blue Sophie Li as off-season recruits.
The Club also signed Gaelic footballer Ailish Considine and SA netballer Maisie Nankivell as pre-signed rookies.
Crows General Manager of Football Administration Phil Harper said the Club was pleased to be able to nurture some SA and NT junior talent in Gore, Scheer, Rosenzweig
