A murder of Crows stormed into sizzling Fantasy form on the back of Adelaide’s 32-point triumph over Gold Coast. Four Crows cracked the 100-point mark with a Club favourite topping the Fantasy leaderboard for the first time this season.

Taylor Walker ($316,380) led the way for Adelaide with a match-winning five-goal performance, earning the star forward 116 Fantasy points and a huge $33k price rise for the round. In his third AFL game back since suffering a season-ending knee injury in Round Five last year, Walker collected 22 possessions, 10 marks and eight inside 50ms in a dominant display up forward. Tex was back to his best against the Suns and must be on the radar of Fantasy coaches across the country given his generous price. The 24-year-old has a break even of just 16 points for Round 12 and would be a great addition to any Fantasy forward line.

Another Crow favourite in Rory Sloane ($503,163) was amongst Adelaide’s best Fantasy performers, notching 113 points from 29 disposals, six marks and six tackles against Gold Coast on Sunday. Adelaide’s co-vice captain responded in style after a disappointing 74 points in Round 10 to post his equal second-best Fantasy total of the season. It was also Sloane’s seventh Fantasy ton for 2014. The 24-year-old has flattened in price and is currently the cheapest he has been all season, so be sure to jump on board this week.

Tough midfielder Jarryd Lyons ($280,833) made the most of his first full AFL match of the season with a respectable 76-point return against the Suns. Lyons has been in outstanding SANFL form this year and impressed yet again on Sunday with 18 possessions, four marks and a goal. The clearance specialist is a dual position MID/FWD in AFL Fantasy this season and would therefore be a great asset to any team if he can cement a spot in the Crows’ best 22. Lyons will right at home against the contested-ball kings at Fremantle, so expect the big-bodied midfielder to surpass his break even of 63 this weekend.

Skilled defenders Brodie Smith ($438,087) and Matthew Jaensch ($426,660) were at their damaging best on Sunday, posting 114 and 112 points respectively from their posts across half-back. Smith rebounded after a season-low 45 points in Round 10 with 30 possessions at 86 per cent efficiency, including a long-range first-quarter goal. Jaensch gathered 29 possessions and seven marks for his third Fantasy ton of the season. Both men have an achievable break even for Adelaide’s Round 11 assignment against the Dockers and must come under consideration for Fantasy teams requiring a boost in defence this week.
