Exciting Crow Charlie Cameron is officially in the running for both the AFL Mark and Goal of the Year titles.

Cameron claimed the Round 10 Goal of the Year nomination following his super snap in Adelaide’s Indigenous Round victory over Fremantle last Saturday night.

The 22-year-old slotted the crafty goal from deep in the north-western pocket at Adelaide Oval in wet and windy conditions.

Cameron collected a loose ball late in the fourth term against the Dockers and wheeled around onto his right boot to slot the major despite heavy opposition pressure.

The livewire Crow clearly took inspiration from three-time Goal of the Year winner Eddie Betts, who was the first to congratulate Cameron after he kicked the incredible goal.

Cameron attracted 40 per cent of the weekly vote to edge out Greater Western Sydney's Toby Greene (31 per cent) and Brisbane young forward Eric Hipwood (29 per cent).

It’s the second round in a row a Crow has claimed the weekly Goal of the Year nomination. Betts was the Round Nine winner, with fellow forward Tom Lynch also nominated last week. Betts has two entries in this year's major draw after also winning the Round Four nomination.

Cameron won the Round Nine Mark of the Year nomination. He also claimed the weekly nomination in Round One.

At the conclusion of the home and away season, the AFL’s All Australian Selection Committee will select the best three goals from the season as the 2017 finalists.
