Adelaide’s squad could be bolstered by the return of three key players for this weekend’s AAMI Community Series clash with West Coast.
Defenders Jordon Butts and Wayne Milera are both in the mix to return from hamstring injuries while midfielder Jake Soligo may also be available as he recovers from an ankle injury.
“All three players have made pleasing progress in their rehab and provided they get through training on Wednesday, we anticipate they will be available for selection to play West Coast,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
Mark Keane will miss the game while in the AFL’s concussion protocols, joining Rory Sloane (eye), Nick Murray (knee) and Harry Schoenberg (achilles) on the sidelines.
Sloane is participating in on-ground drills with his teammates but is yet to progress to contact training in his recovery from eye surgery last month.
“Mark is presenting well and ran today, and will obviously work his way through the AFL’s protocols before returning to play,” Burgess said.
“Harry and Nick are tracking well in their return from long-term injuries after surgery last year and Rory’s return will be guided by the specialists so we will have a clearer timeline for them in coming weeks.”
