As major construction works steam ahead on the Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, the Adelaide Football Club has provided an update on its membership transition to the inner-city venue.

Crows General Manager Supporter Services David Couch said all 2013 11-game members are guaranteed a seat at Adelaide Oval.

Essential Crows members, who currently sit in the AAMI Stadium Members Reserve, will be seated in the Adelaide Oval Western Stand with option of additional seating in the mid-tier of the Southern Stand.

“Customers within this category will sit in unreserved seating for all Crows home games and do not need to do anything at this time,” Couch said.

Reserved seat members, who late February received an information pack on the transition, will be required to complete a Group Nomination Form in first stage of their relocation process.

“This form involves identifying Group Organisers, to ensure reserved seat members will be allocated with family and friends."

If existing reserved seat members wish to include a non-current member in their group, the new member will need to take up a 2013 season membership prior to the Group Organiser form due date Friday, April 5.

Reserved seats will not be anchored at this stage, with the actual allocation to commence late April. This process will involve online interactive seat mapping, launched for the first time in Australia by the Crows.

The technology will allow supporters to immerse themselves in 3D views of the venue from their 2014 seat.

“Members will be able to confirm their allocated seat or re-allocate their place in the venue based on availability,” Couch said.

The second phase of the process will also involve the release of additional seating categories including an allocation in the mid-tier of the Eastern Stand which will be available to upgrading members.

Group Nomination forms may be submitted via reply paid envelope or online via the Club’s membership website 19thman.com.au.

The world-class redevelopment is on-track to be completed by the Opening Round of the 2014 AFL season with works soon moving to the large, single curved roof structure for the Southern Stand. This roof will become a unique feature of Adelaide’s skyline and one of the most visible elements of the stadium from the CBD.
