Richard Douglas, Bernie Vince and Hayden Skipworth made a very special delivery last Friday on behalf of the Crows Foundation. The trio visited Trinity Gardens Primary School and handed over 50 brand new Auskick footballs to the children, whose brand new gymnasium and every piece of sports equipment was destroyed by fire a week ago.On behalf of the Crows Foundation, School Principal Vicki Stokes was also given two signed footballs and a jumper signed by the entire team to help with the fundraising efforts needed to help rebuild the gymnasium. The school of 300 children has been devastated by the loss of their gymnasium which had taken more than a year to build and had not even been officially opened. But their despair turned to jubilation on Friday when Camry Crow waltzed into the school hall and displayed his usual charisma and charm. In fact the Crow stole the show with his undisciplined antics during the specially held school assembly. After a rousing rendition of the Crows club song by the entire school, the children put the brand new footballs to immediate use with handball relay competitions - students against teachers.Teamed up with the teachers, Bernie Vince took his eyes off the ball, and cost the teachers victory when he fumbled a handball from the Principal. The Crows Foundation was launched in May 2005 with the primary focus of the Foundation to oversee and co-ordinate activities that raise funds for causes involving children in need. Every dollar of funds raised through the Crows Foundation is donated to nominated beneficiaries.Over the past year the Crows Foundation has raised over $150, 000 which has been distributed to numerous charities including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, Camp Quality, the Bone Growth Foundation, Danny Ross Foundation, Cranio Facial Australia and the Australian Red Cross " Good Start Breakfast Club" program.
