Adelaide forward/ruck Caitlin Gould has received a Goal of the Year nomination for her efforts during the Crows’ Round Nine win against North Melbourne on Sunday.
Midway through the third quarter, Gould won a contest inside Adelaide’s attacking 50, broke tackles from North Melbourne defenders Eliza Shannon and Erika O’Shea, before snapping around the body, booting the goal.
The goal came at a crucial time, giving the hosts some momentum after a slow first half and tied up the scores at 27 apiece.
It is the second time Gould has received a nomination this year, and won the Goal of the Year for Round Five.
The Crows went on to win the game against North Melbourne by three points after a last-gasp goal from Irish recruit Niamh Kelly.
