Adelaide list boss Justin Reid says the Club enters this week’s Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period with plenty of options thanks to a strong draft hand.

The Crows currently hold Picks Nine, 19, 22 and 25 in November’s National Draft.

The Club received Pick 19 as compensation for defender Tom Doedee joining Brisbane as a free agent on Monday.

“We certainly go into the trade period with an open mindset and our strong draft hand gives us some options,” Adelaide General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said.

“As always we are constantly looking at ways to improve the list, and given the injuries that challenged us this season and that will continue into next year, we will be looking to shore up some key position versatility.

“But we have also invested in this young group over a number of years and we recognise that stability and cohesion is an important part of our growth going forward.

“So how we add to that group is front of mind and if we take our picks through to the draft, we are confident we will be bringing in some very good players.”

The AFL’s free agency period opened on Friday and the trade period runs from Monday, October 9 to Wednesday, October 18.
