Defender Tom Doedee departs Adelaide having contributed greatly to the Club’s journey over eight years.

The 26-year-old last week informed Adelaide he would exercise his free agency rights, and today joins Brisbane after the Club opted not to match the Lions’ offer.

The Crows have received an end of first round draft pick as compensation, which is currently Pick 19.

Doedee has played 82 games for Adelaide since being drafted in 2015, and has been part of the Crows’ leadership group since 2020.

“Tom is a quality person who has brought a lot to our playing group and the Club and we’d like to thank him for his contribution,” Crows GM List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said.

“We understand the nature of free agency in the industry and would like to wish Tom and his partner Emily all the best for the future.”

The Continental Tyres Trade Period runs from today until October 18.

Adelaide currently has Picks 9, 19, 22 and 25 in next month’s National Draft.
