Crows AFLW defender Najwa Allen is expected to miss up to four weeks, after suffering a hamstring injury during Adelaide’s win over Richmond on Friday night.
Allen pulled up sore during the match and had scans on Saturday, which revealed she had strained her hamstring.
Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said it was disappointing for Allen, who had experienced some good form in the opening two rounds.
“Najwa has been playing well and had a really strong pre-season,” Harper said.
“She will begin her rehab process this week and we anticipate it being 3-4 weeks before she returns to play.”
Midfielder Hannah Munyard will miss another week, as she continues to recover from a hip injury.
“We hoped Hannah would be available for selection this week, but she will require another week of rehab,” Harper said.
“Our High-Performance team will continue to monitor her to ensure she is fully fit when she returns to the side.”
Midfielder Taylah Levy, who injured her AC joint last week, is expected to be available for selection, provided she gets through full training this week.
Injury List as of Tuesday, September 12
Taylah Levy (shoulder) test
Hannah Munyard (hip) 1 week
Najwa Allen (hamstring) 3-4 weeks
