Adelaide Assistant Coach Scott Burns says his side is looking to move on quickly from its 18-point loss to Essendon on Sunday.
Despite Adelaide’s late comeback, the Bombers held on to claim a 17.13 (115) to 15.7 (97) victory at Marvel Stadium.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Burns said the focus had now turned to the upcoming match against Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
“We are four days out from the Giants so we want to get into that pretty quickly,” Burns said.
“We are really looking forward to this weekend to turn it around and celebrate Sloaney’s 250th.
“Obviously we are back at Adelaide Oval and there are a lot of reasons we want to play good football this weekend.”
Burns said the Giants are heading into the clash in strong form and the Crows would need to be at their best.
“We are playing against a team who probably over the two or three seasons have had it over us so we need to change a few things come Saturday,” Burns said.
“Against Hawthorn, they (GWS) were fantastic in transition and that's something they have wanted to resurrect in the last week or two.
“They've won five out of their last six so they have really turned it around and are playing some really good football so that's what we will be focussing on.”
Ahead of Rory Sloane's 250th game on Saturday, Burns reflected on the veteran's contribution to the side.
“He (Sloane) stepped back from the leadership role this year but he has helped Daws (Jordan Dawson) so much away from game day,” Burns said.
“He’s selfless and there is no doubt when the game is on the line, he has had some massive last quarters for us and been a big reason we have won games.
“He has got a massive heart and is one of those players the boys love playing alongside.”
Adelaide takes on GWS at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 7.10pm.
