Adelaide has made one change for its Round 16 match against North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Ned McHenry, who was used as the tactical substitute during last week’s game against Collingwood, has been named in the starting line-up.
Lachlan Sholl has been omitted.
Defender Nick Murray has been named in the side after being substituted in Round 15.
Sholl joins Harry Schoenberg, Elliott Himmelberg and Lachlan Gollant as the emergencies.
One of the four will be named as this week's substitute, an hour before the game.
Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said McHenry had done well as the substitute and deserved an opportunity to play a full game.
“Ned has been in good form in 2023, which includes having regularly impacted games positively as the sub throughout the season,” Kelly said.
“His impact last week against Collingwood, once injected into the game at half-time, was significant.
“As a result, he has forced his way into our starting 22 for the game against the Kangaroos.”
Despite going down to the Pies by two points last weekend, Kelly said the side’s overall performance was strong enough to warrant just the one change.
“Our strong performance against Collingwood has led to only one change this week to the 22, with McHenry coming in for Sholl,” Kelly said.
“Sholly has been important for us throughout the year, having played some good football, but this week, it is Ned who will get the opportunity.
“We continue to have a number in the squad exhibiting the type of performances that would justify their selection at AFL level and that is a credit to the full playing squad for the way they are preparing and presenting week after week.”
Adelaide will commemorate Breakthrough Round against North Melbourne, with Adelaide Oval turning purple in support of research into mental illness.
The Crows take on the Kangaroos at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, with the first bounce at 1.15pm.
