Adelaide has named an unchanged team for its Round 15 clash against Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
The Crows, who had the bye last weekend, have opted to stick with the same line-up that triumphed over West Coast by 122 points in Round 13.
Ned McHenry, Harry Schoenberg, Brayden Cook and Lachlan Gollant drop out of the extended bench and onto the emergency list.
One of the four will be named the substitute an hour before the first bounce, a role McHenry has played in Adelaide’s last two matches.
Senior Coach Matthew Nicks told the media on Thursday he was still undecided on if he would go with McHenry as substitute again this weekend.
“The sub is always a conversation that we have to have – Ned’s played that role a lot this season, so at what time does that become where his game time is not quite where we want it to be?,” Nicks said.
“But he’s (McHenry) played it really well for us, he impacts the game and brings energy in that space, so there’s a chance he may do that again.”
Adelaide will travel to the MCG for the first time since Round 2, 2022, where it fell to the Magpies by 42 points.
While his team has not had a lot of experience at the venue, Nicks said he was confident it would absorb the atmosphere well and be up for the challenge.
“The start will be crucial for us, especially given we haven’t played at the venue yet this year,” Nicks said.
“But the boys will get time to go out there in the warm up and make sure to absorb it all, plus we also get the opportunity to train on the MCG the day before for our Captain’s Run.
“In the end it’s an oval we’ve got to go out there and have a crack and it’s the opposition that is our biggest challenge.”
The Crows take on Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday afternoon, with the first bounce at 12.40pm (ACST).
