Adelaide has added four players to its squad ahead of a Round 15 clash against Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday.
Harry Schoenberg, Lachlan Gollant and Brayden Cook come into the squad after being emergencies in the Crows’ last game against West Coast in Round 13.
The trio have been named on the extended bench.
Ned McHenry, who was the substitute against the Eagles a fortnight ago, also features on the extended bench and rounds out the additions.
Adelaide Senior Coach Matthew Nicks told the media on Thursday he expected the line-up to be similar to the one that defeated West Coast by 122 points prior to last weekend’s bye.
“Our plan would be to go in with a similar team (to the one that beat West Coast),” Nicks said.
“We’ve got a lot of guys knocking on the door but we probably won’t make too much of a change to the group.
“The sub is always a conversation that we have to have – Ned (McHenry) has played that role a lot this season - so at what time does that become where his game time is not quite where we want it to be?
“But he’s (McHenry) played it really well for us, he impacts the game and brings energy in that space, so there’s a chance he may do that again.”
This will be the Crows’ second clash against Collingwood this season, after they fell by just one point in their last meeting at Adelaide Oval in Round Seven.
Nicks said he expected another tough challenge against the second-placed Magpies.
“It’s a challenge because a lot of people haven’t got it right against Collingwood,” Nicks said.
“We learnt a lot (from last time we played Collingwood) and a lot of positives came out of that game.
“We’ve looked through those over the past week and a half and we know we’ve got the game if we bring it.
“The challenge will be that we’re playing on their home deck and in front of their supporters.”
Adelaide will name its final team on Friday at 4.30pm.
The Crows take on Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday afternoon at 12.40pm (ACST).
