Geelong duo Joel Selwood and Jed Bews have been added into Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy squad ahead of this weekend’s second Fantasy Showdown against the Power.

Selwood’s price dropped to $501,264 after an uncharacteristic lull between Rounds Five to Seven, but rebounded in style last week with a magnificent 138-point performance against Fremantle. The Cats’ skipper is genuine Fantasy royalty was a runaway choice in this week’s voting.

Bews burst onto the scene with a respectable 84 points for the Cats in his debut at Patersons Stadium, and looms as a solid downgrade option for the Fantasy Crows.

The pair replaces Crow youngsters Sam Shaw and Matt Crouch who have banked us considerable cash during the season to this point.

Once again, Gary Ablett will be entrusted with the captaincy for the Fantasy Crows, edging out our very own Patrick Dangerfield in this week’s vote.

This week’s clash against Port Adelaide looms as a crucial contest as the Power are directly below us on the Fan Fantasy ladder in fourth place. A win will see us increase our gap to Port Adelaide and solidify our spot inside the top three.
