Adelaide has added six players to its squad ahead of its Round 11 match against Brisbane at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
Defender Josh Worrell is a chance to play his first game of this season, after being named on the extended bench.
The 22-year-old overcame a hamstring injury earlier this season and has played in the Crows’ past three SANFL games, averaging 22 disposals and four rebounds inside defensive 50.
Worrell joins forwards Taylor Walker, Riley Thilthorpe, defender Tom Doedee, and midfielders Jackson Hately and Ned McHenry in the squad.
Midfielder Sam Berry, who was used as the substitute last week, and forward Elliott Himmelberg have been omitted.
Backman Mitch Hinge will miss the clash, as he recovers from concussion.
Adelaide Senior Coach Matthew Nicks told media on Thursday Worrell had worked hard to return to peak fitness.
“He’s (Worrell) done really well,” Nicks said.
“We go back to pre-season and he was probably our best player on the track.
“He’s done some amazing work around being a pro and the work he’s done off the field has got him to that position.
“He’s been really unlucky with injury, but he’s worked his way back, so he’s very much a chance to come in.”
Nicks said Walker and Doedee had trained well and were ready to return.
“Tex will play, he went really well (at training), so all going well from here, he will play,” Nicks said.
“Tommy Doedee is similar, coming back from concussion, Riley (Thilthorpe) was great today (too).”
The Crows will name their final team on Friday at 4.30pm.
Adelaide plays Brisbane at Adelaide Oval on Sunday at 4.10pm.
