Adelaide and Brisbane have played against each other 36 times and there's been some pretty memorable games.
Here are a couple of our picks.
The underdogs hold on - Round 18, 2018
In Round 18, 2018, Adelaide faced an in-form Brisbane side, which had won its past three games by an average margin of 30.6 points.
Despite being the underdogs, Adelaide found itself 22 points ahead at three-quarter time.
The Crows, however, were down to two players available on the bench, after losing both Tom Doedee and Lachlan Murphy during the third quarter.
Although Brisbane dominated time in forward half during the final quarter, a depleted Adelaide side held strong, absorbing Brisbane’s inside 50 entries to win by five points.
Former Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood had a big impact up forward, kicking a career-high four goals, along with 12 score involvements and 14 contested possessions.
Big score, bin win - Round 20, 2016
In Round 20, 2016, Adelaide treated its fans to an entertaining Saturday night game, defeating Brisbane 177 to 39 and recording its largest score ever at Adelaide Oval.
From the opening bounce it was one way traffic, as the Crows put on a goal kicking clinic, booting 27 goals to triumph by 138 points.
Adelaide’s forwards all got in on the action, with Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch and Eddie Betts all kicking four majors, while Josh Jenkins added three goals.
It was an all-round team performance - Adelaide finished with 14 individual goal scorers, while 16 players collected 18 or more disposals.
Adelaide won the disposal count 477-284, inside 50s 73-29 and uncontested possessions 325-143.
Rory Sloane was dominant, finishing with 34 disposals, 13 score involvements and a game-high 576 metres-gained, while Daniel Talia was solid in defence, grabbing 13 marks to go along with 27 disposals.
The come-back Kings - Round 20, 2011
In Round 20, 2011, Adelaide reversed a 20-point, three-quarter time deficit to defeat the Lions by five points in an actioned-packed final term.
A six-goal-to-two last term helped Adelaide get over the line, with Ricky Henderson, Taylor Walker and Graham Johncock (who kicked the winner) booting the final three goals of the game.
Scott Thompson was at his best through the middle, amassing 38 disposals and eight tackles, and the umpires awarded him three Brownlow votes.
Skipper Nathan Van Berlo finished with 26 touches, six marks and two goals.
Down to the wire - Round Nine, 2001
In Round Nine, 2001 Adelaide and Brisbane went head-to-head in a tense contest, with no more than six points separating the two sides at the end of each quarter.
Heading into the final term and needing someone to take hold of the game, Adelaide forward Brett Burton stepped up. In just his 34th game of senior footy, Burton booted three goals in the final quarter - and finished the game with four - to help Adelaide get over the line by five points.
The game was not without its drama, with Brisbane’s Marcus Picken having a chance to win the game after the siren, however he was unable to make the 70-metre journey required.
Adelaide defender Nigel Smart had 27 disposals, five marks and five clearances, while Simon Goodwin amassed 24 touches, seven tackles and eight inside 50s.
Last-gasp win - Round 13, 2015
In Round 13, 2015, Adelaide recorded its third largest comeback from a three-quarter time deficit.
The Crows were down by 24 points at the final change, only to rally and defeat the Lions by 13 points.
Trailing the entire game, the Crows flicked the switch in the final term and kept Brisbane goalless, while kicking six majors of their own.
Eddie Betts goaled to level the scores with 10 minutes remaining, before Taylor Walker booted a goal two minutes later to give Adelaide its first lead of the afternoon.
Former midfielder Nathan Van Berlo sealed the four points with a strong mark and goal with just four minutes left on the clock.
Midfielders Scott Thompson and Matt Crouch won plenty of the ball, finishing with 28 and 26 disposals, respectively as well as combining for 18 clearances.
Adelaide will face Brisbane for the first time in 2023 at Adelaide Oval on Sunday at 4:10pm.
