Crows defender Nick Murray will miss this weekend’s clash with St Kilda as he works his way through the AFL’s concussion protocols.
Murray was subbed out of Saturday’s loss to Geelong after an incident late in the second quarter.
“Nick was subbed out of the game after contact with the ground,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
“He’s in concussion protocols and he ran well today so he’s progressing as per medical instructions and we’re hopeful he will get through those and be available next week.”
Forward Shane McAdam has rejoined Adelaide’s main training group as he continues his recovery from a quad injury.
McAdam has not played since the Round 3 SANFL loss to Central District and is expected to return in the next month.
“Shane has been training with the main group this week and will do that again next week, and we anticipate he will be three to four weeks away,” Burgess said.
“He needs a good bank of training load and he’s getting that now so hopefully he will be good to go in that time.”
Young midfielder Zac Taylor has had surgery on a Lisfranc fracture and is recovering at home before beginning his rehabilitation in coming weeks.
“He will be off legs for the next week or so and then begin some off legs training and we anticipate all going well he’ll be around the 12-week mark,” Burgess said.
“Zac’s focus during that off legs period will be to work on some core and upper body strength. As a young player it presents a pretty good window to do that.”
Adelaide's injury list as of Tuesday, May 9:
Nick Murray (concussion protocol)
Shane McAdam (quad) 3-4 weeks
Hugh Bond (knee) 3-4 weeks
Zac Taylor (foot) 12 weeks
