Mitch McGovern’s massive mark against the Western Bulldogs has been nominated for the AFL Mark of the Year.

McGovern capped off Adelaide’s impressive victory over the reigning premiers with a classic grab in the dying minutes of Friday night’s contest at Adelaide Oval.

The 22-year-old showcased his pure athleticism with a huge hanger over Bulldog Lachie Hunter at half-back. McGovern jumped clean onto Hunter’s shoulders to claim the grab despite wet and slippery conditions.

It’s the third time this season that a Crow has earned a weekly Mark of the Year nomination.

Charlie Cameron has two entries into this year’s main draw following his huge hangers from Round One against Greater Western Sydney and Round Nine against Brisbane at the Gabba.

North Melbourne’s Luke McDonald and St Kilda’s Daniel McKenzie are the other Round 16 Mark of the Year nominees.

Fans can score one of three $100 Woolworths gift cards each week and go into the major prize draw to win one of five $1,000 worth of Woolworths gift cards at the end of the season just by voting.

Voting opens at 12pm (AEST) the day after the last game of each round and closes the night before the commencement of the next round at 11.59pm (AEST).

At the conclusion of the home and away season, the AFL’s All Australian Selection Committee will select the best three marks from the weekly nominees as the 2017 finalists.
