Stars raise money for Crows Foundation
Local sports stars helped raise $14,000 for the Crows Foundation.
South Australia's best with bat or ball, both current and past, provided plenty of entertainment and highlights at the Palletco - Crows Foundation Cocktail Party at the Alma Hotel last Friday night.
Travis Dodd from Adelaide United, Mark Cosgrove from the Redbacks, international cricket umpire Daryl Harper, legendary Adelaide Oval curator Les Burdett, retired basketballers Rachael Sporn and Mark Davis were joined by injured Crows Andy Otten, Jason Porplyzia, Brad Symes, Brad Moran and AFL Hall of Famer Darren Jarman.
Ryan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald created his usual mayhem and left no stone unturned with his interview techniques in front of more than 150 guests.
Palletco proprietors and hosts, John and Brigid Piro, helped to gather a full house and contributed generously to the function's costs while their good friends Paul and Kathy Drogemuller, from Paracombe Wines, kindly offered their fine Hills product for all to enjoy.
Talented local singer Tania Praino, and her accompanist David Fitzgerald, also donated their services and added real class to the evening.
The night raised $14,000 for the Crows Foundation which raises funds for children in need across SA.
Since 2005 the Crows Foundation has raised more than $500,000 for more than 30 charities dedicated to children across the State.
