Adelaide forward Darcy Fogarty will return to the side to face Carlton at Adelaide Oval, following a stint on the sidelines, recovering from injury.
Fogarty missed the Crows’ Showdown victory and last weekend’s win against Fremantle with a knee complaint but has since recovered and will line up in Thursday night’s Gather Round match.
Fellow forward Luke Pedlar also comes back into the side, after missing last week due to suspension.
Lachlan Gollant and Ned McHenry have been omitted.
Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said Fogarty had recovered well and was expected to slot back into the side with ease.
“Darcy had a really strong pre-season and his form leading into his injury, an MCL strain suffered against Richmond in Round Two, was excellent,” Kelly said.
“He has proved his fitness and he commands his spot in our team.
“Luke has been building strongly and played his career best game in the Showdown before missing the game versus the Dockers due to suspension.
“He comes back into the team, not only in form but also with fresh legs.”
Adelaide is eyeing a third, straight win after victories against Port Adelaide and Fremantle, respectively.
Kelly said the Crows had a healthy list and strong form in the SANFL had created competition for spots.
“We are benefitting from a depth of form and player availability at the moment which has been evidenced in recent performances,” Kelly said.
“Selection decisions are difficult because the performance, attitude and application of the squad have been first class.”
McHenry joins Harry Schoenberg, Elliott Himmelberg and Lachlan Gollant as the emergencies.
