Adelaide forward Shane McAdam has been suspended for three games for a bump on GWS’s Jacob Wehr on the weekend.

McAdam faced the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night to answer a charge of rough conduct which was graded by the Match Review Officer as careless, with severe impact and high contact.

The Club’s legal counsel argued that there was not any forceful or significant contact with Wehr’s head and the impact was not severe.

The tribunal found McAdam guilty of rough conduct and handed down a three-game suspension which the Club can choose to appeal.

“It was never my intention to harm Jacob and I am glad that he didn’t sustain any injury,” McAdam said.

“I am disappointed with the outcome of the tribunal and understand the Club will consider any avenue to appeal the decision.”
