Former Adelaide ruck Jess Allan will return to West Lakes after the Club finalised a trade with Greater Western Sydney.
GWS will receive Adelaide’s third round pick in the supplementary draft, currently pick 52.
Allan played four games for Adelaide in 2018 before relocating to Canberra due to work commitments with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said the Club was always hoping Allan would be able to return one day.
“We were sad to lose Jess in 2018 after only one season, but we were pleased that we could work together with the GWS Giants, so that Jess could continue her AFLW career while she was stationed in Canberra with the ADF,” Harper said.
“Now Jess has been posted to Adelaide to continue her career with the ADF and we are excited to welcome her back to the Club.
“The Allan family have been a big part of our women’s program since day one, and we know everyone is looking forward to Jess and Sarah playing together again.”
