Adelaide would like to thank premiership player Ashleigh Woodland for her contribution to the Crows following her decision to join another AFLW club.
Woodland, 24, played 36 games for the Crows after being taken in the 2020 AFLW Draft at pick No.47.
She kicked 44 goals across her three seasons at the Club, winning the league’s leading goal kicker award in 2022 and the Club’s leading goalkicker award back-to-back in Season Six and Seven.
Woodland was part of the 2022 premiership winning team and that year was named in the AFL Women’s All-Australian team alongside three of her premiership teammates.
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper thanked Woodland for what she had contributed in her time at the Club.
“While we are disappointed to lose Ash, we are really happy that we were able to help her fall back in love with football over the past three seasons,” Harper said.
“Ash came from SANFLW to playing in every game for the Crows, became an All-Australian and premiership player in 2022 and won our Club’s leading goal kicker award in both Season Six and Seven which is a real testament to the time and effort she put into her craft.
“We wish Ash and her family all the best and she will always be part of the Crows family.”
The AFLW Priority Signing Period will take place from Wednesday, March 1 until Wednesday, March 8 followed by the Sign and Trade Period from Friday, March 10 to Monday, March 20.
