FREMANTLE defender Luke McPharlin will miss his team's important clash with Adelaide on Saturday after his bid to overturn a one-match suspension at the AFL Tribunal failed. McPharlin was reported after making front-on contact with West Coast forward Jack Darling during last week's win. He chose to challenge the one-week ban on Tuesday, saying contact was made to the top of Darling's left arm, and not the shoulder.

FREMANTLE skipper Matthew Pavlich is free to play against Adelaide after being offered a reprimand for striking Mitch Brown in Saturday's Western Derby. But Luke McPharlin is facing a one-weel ban for front-on contact on West Coast star Jack Darling.
