The Crows will be bolstered by the return of Richard Douglas for the blockbuster against Collingwood at Adelaide Oval next Thursday night.

Douglas is available to play having served a two-game suspension for rough conduct on Greater Western Sydney captain Callan Ward in Round Five. See the other players in contention for an AFL call-up in our SANFL coverage.

Patrick Dangerfield has a slight ankle sprain, but is expected to be fit to take on the Pies in 10 days.

Defender Matthew Jaensch will have scans to determine the extent of a rib injury sustained in Adelaide’s loss to Melbourne. Jaensch suffered suspected fractured ribs in the second quarter and didn’t take further part in the game after half time. Forward Tom Lynch was also injured on Saturday. The 2013 Crows leading goalkicker will miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured jaw.

Goalkicker Jason Porplyzia (back) and SANFL captain Ian Callinan could both be available to play in Adelaide’s State League clash with West Adelaide on Saturday night after sitting out the game in Clare with injury. Adelaide’s AFL team has a bye this weekend.

Rising Star runner-up Brad Crouch is a fortnight away from a return from a fractured leg, while rookie-listed ruckman Jack Osborn is likely to miss one more week with a sore back.

Ricky Henderson (fractured leg/ankle) and skipper Nathan van Berlo (Achilles) are both progressing well in their rehabilitation from long-term injuries, but it’s still too early to speculate on their likely returns.

Because of Adelaide’s AFL bye this weekend, there will be no open training sessions until next week.
