Adelaide has made three changes for Sunday’s clash with Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval, with two Crows set to play their first senior games of 2019.
Midfielder Hugh Greenwood has earned a senior recall after an outstanding performance at SANFL level last weekend where he finished with 33 disposals, 10 clearances and two goals.
He will be joined in Don Pyke’s side by young key forward Elliott Himmelberg and experienced midfielder Bryce Gibbs.
Himmelberg made his AFL debut in the final game of 2018 and is expected to play forward, while also pinch-hitting in the ruck to support Reilly O’Brien.
The 20-year-old is a direct replacement for Josh Jenkins, who has been omitted after a lean start to his 2019 season.
After a week in the State League, Gibbs’ return coincides with Eddie Betts’ 300th AFL game against the Suns. The pair spent seven seasons together at Carlton before being reunited at West Lakes last year.
