Nominations are now open for eligible candidates to stand for election to the Adelaide Football Club’s Board of Directors.
Incumbent Director Rod Jameson is not seeking re-election which means there is a vacancy for one position on a two-year term.
Nominations are being called from January 10-24 and those wanting to stand must meet a range of criteria, including being a financial member with access to a minimum of three games in a season.
Candidates with skills and competencies which complement the overall experience and diversity of current Directors are being urged to come forward with a view to helping the organisation deliver on its strategic objectives.
The Club strongly encourages women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds to nominate.
As part of the process, candidates can provide a profile of no more than 250 words in support of their nomination.
To be eligible to vote in the election you must be a financial member who has access to not less than three Crows home or away matches in a given season. This process is open to Gold members.
CorpVote will once again run an independent online ballot if required, and Crows CEO Tim Silvers has encouraged prospective candidates to nominate and help steer the Club through an exciting period.
“We have entered an important era, both on and off the field, as we put the challenges of the pandemic behind us and look towards a new phase of growth,” Silvers said.
“Our men’s squad is looking to consistently challenge the best teams in the competition and the coaches and players commitment throughout this summer cannot be questioned.
“In the AFLW, we are chasing sustained success, having claimed another premiership along with making a preliminary final in an unprecedented year during which there was two seasons.
“Our proposed new training, administration and community facility at Thebarton is currently subject to a period of extensive community consultation and we are focused on the creation of a masterplan which delivers benefits for our players, coaches, staff, members and supporters, as well as local residents.
“Across all areas of the Club, our people are working hard to ensure we continue to develop and prosper.”
An announcement of the election result will take place at the Annual Members Meeting on March 1, 2023.
