Two Adelaide youngsters have been named in the Season Seven AFL Players’ Association AFLW 22Under22 team.

On Tuesday, the AFL Players’ Association announced the final team, which included Danielle Ponter and Madison Newman.

Ponter has been named in the final team for a second time, cementing herself as one of the Crows' most talented young forwards.

The 22-year-old was nominated for the Crypto.com Goal of the Year twice in Season Seven - for special majors booted in Round Three and Round Nine.

The dynamic goal-kicker and two-time Premiership star booted nine majors from seven minor round games and averaged 9.7 disposals.

This is Newman’s first selection in the 22Under22 side and it comes after she enjoyed a stellar season, having played all 10 minor round matches and averaged 13.1 disposals.

Drafted in 2019 as a defender, the 20-year-old enjoyed a positional switch this season, playing across the wing, and it paid dividends.

The fan-voted award recognises the best 22 players aged under 22 for the entirety of the AFLW season.
