Crows defender Najwa Allen knows what Adelaide’s missing piece of the puzzle is for Season Seven.

Heading into week two of the NAB AFLW finals, Allen conceded her side would need a full four-quarter performance each game to push for another flag in 2022.

“We tend to hold up well for a few quarters (but) then we drop off,” Allen told the media after Adelaide’s 21-point loss to Melbourne on Friday.

“I think (to win) it will take four quarters of footy, which is something we’ve lacked this year.

“When we are playing our best footy, we’re putting three past Melbourne, we’re holding out the Lions for an entire quarter.

“We have the potential, it’s just doing it for the whole game.

“It’s disappointing and it’s frustrating, but not worrying… because I know we have the capacity to do it.”

Ahead of the clash against Collingwood on Saturday, Allen said cutting off the Magpies’ strong run from its backline would be crucial to success.

“They (Collingwood) go really well with generating from their backline, getting those handball receives and generating forward momentum,” Allen said.

“If we can cut that out of their game, we’ll stop them at the source and then it’s just maintaining pressure and putting goals past them when we get the opportunity.”

The Crows will host the Magpies at Unley Oval in a do-or-die Semi-Final and Allen said a home-crowd advantage would be a huge boost.

“This weekend we are hoping to get as many of our Members and Fans down there as we can,” Allen said

“We play really well with our fans and we play really well with a home crowd advantage, so we are pretty excited about that.”

Adelaide plays Collingwood at Unley Oval on Saturday at 3.10pm.

The winner will face Brisbane next weekend in a Preliminary Final.
