Adelaide ruckman Kieran Strachan has been named the Club’s SANFL Best and Fairest for the second year running.
Strachan amassed 114 votes to finish first ahead of Jay Boyle in second (78 votes) and Billy Frampton in third (73 votes).
Strachan dominated the SANFL in 2022, earning a place in The Advertiser SANFL Team of the Year and helping guide Adelaide to a preliminary final.
Across 20 games in the State League, Strachan averaged 16.8 disposals, 5.8 marks and 3.6 clearances per game.
Against West Adelaide in Round Six he recorded a monster 56 hitouts as the Crows ran away 54 point winners.
On eight separate occasions, Strachan recorded more than 40 hitouts for Adelaide.
His strong form in the SANFL earned him two AFL games in 2022 - Round Nine against Brisbane and Round 10 against St Kilda.
He averaged 20 hitouts across the two matches.
The State League Club Champion voting process follows the same protocol as the senior side, with the coaching panel, led by Michael Godden, rating every player from 0-10 after each match.
Strachan joins inaugural captain Ian Callinan (2014, 2015) and Patrick Wilson (2018, 2019) as two-time winners of the Award.
A winner was not selected in 2020 as the Crows did not take part in the 2020 SANFL season due to Covid.
