Young Adelaide midfielder Zac Taylor had no trouble finding the ball in his debut SANFL season for the Crows.

Throughout 15 games (so far) in the State League, Taylor has averaged 17.5 disposals, 4.5 clearances and 4.5 tackles.

On Sunday, in Adelaide’s qualifying final against Norwood, Taylor amassed 18 touches, six inside 50s and a goal en route to a 55-point victory for the Crows.

Throughout his first year at the Club, the 19-year-old has leant on the experience of two senior Crows to help build his game.

“I’ve done shadowing with (Rory) Sloane and (Ben) Keays,” Taylor said on Tuesday.

“Sloane’s leadership is something I admire a lot.

“As for Keaysy, it’s his work rate. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen.

“I love how they both go about it.”

Away from the senior players, Taylor also praised the impact of Luke Pedlar who kicked three goals against Norwood on Sunday.

“I’ve been really impressed with Luke,” Taylor said.

“He’s got that X-factor which can break games open and win games off his own boot.”

The Crows will face North Adelaide in a semi-final this Sunday with the winner advancing to the SANFL Grand Final.

Despite many of his teammates already being on break, Taylor said there was no temptation from Adelaide’s SANFL players to skip out early.

“I think all the boys understand we can do something here in the SANFL finals,” he said.

“We’ve played as a team throughout the whole year - it’s one of the best aspects of the team, we’re not just the Adelaide reserves.

“We really think we can go far.”

Sunday’s game gets under way at 3.15pm at Adelaide Oval.
