Adelaide three-time AFLW Premiership player Anne Hatchard is putting no limits on what she can achieve ahead of Season Seven kicking off this Friday.

Hatchard capped an incredible Season Six by claiming the medal for best afield in the Grand Final win against Melbourne, before winning Adelaide’s Club Champion award for the second time.

The 24-year-old came close to winning the AFLW’s best and fairest award, finishing just one vote behind winner Emily Bates from Brisbane.

Hatchard will play her 50th game in Adelaide’s season opener against Melbourne this Friday after making her debut with the Club in 2017.

Speaking to the media ahead of her milestone match, Hatchard said she had worked hard to take her game to another level this season.

“I’ve been putting a lot of hard work and effort into this off-season,” Hatchard said.

“There’s lots of things I can improve on… Hopefully I can come into this season even better.

“Definitely my goal kicking - I had a few bad ones last season, so I'm hoping to improve that.

“I’ve been working on that weekly with a few of the other girls and just trying to get better at my marking as well and inside body work.”

Only four months have passed since the Crows beat Melbourne in Season Six’s Grand Final but Hatchard said players were hungry for more success.

“It’s going to be a hard contest, they’re (Melbourne) going to want revenge,” Hatchard said.

“We are both coming off a short pre-season and I am super excited to get out there with the girls.

“We’re pretty tight as a group as well, so with a shorter pre-season, we’ve used the time wisely and we are going to come out strong this year.

The three-time All Australian said players were not bothered by the change in venue, with Friday night’s opener moved from Norwood to Glenelg Oval.

“I’ve played SANFL games at Glenelg before, we were set to play a trial game and had that (game) moved the morning of, so we’ve had it happen before.

“To have notice a bit earlier this time is good and we aren’t really fazed by it.

“There’s a few Bays girls who play with us at the Crows, so they’re pretty keen to get on their home deck.”

Adelaide kicks off its Premiership defence when it takes on Melbourne at Glenelg Oval on Friday, with the first bounce at 7.10pm.
