Adelaide’s AFLW season opener against Melbourne has been moved to a different venue due to the surface condition of Norwood Oval.
The Grand Final re-match will now be played at Glenelg Oval on Friday, August 26, with play getting underway at 7.10pm as initially scheduled.
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said the safety of players and officials was the key factor behind the move away from Norwood.
“Recent heavy rains have made for challenging circumstances at ovals across suburban Adelaide,” Harper said.
“We worked closely with the AFL to find a suitable playing surface and after inspecting and considering several locations, we decided on Glenelg Oval.
“It is a great venue and we urge as many of our Members and supporters as possible, along with footy fans in general, to get along and see a great game of footy.”
All fans who have purchased tickets for the Round One match at Norwood Oval will be able to access Glenelg Oval with their existing tickets.
Members can use their mobile passes, via the official Crows App, to scan in at the gate.
