Darcy Fogarty has been nominated for Mark of the Year in Round 15 following his high-flying grab against North Melbourne.
Fogarty finished the game with four goals and a career-best 20 touches as Adelaide finished 57-point victors over the Kangaroos in Hobart.
Regarding his second-quarter mark, the key forward thought he “got lucky a bit”.
“Yeah, I was a bit nervous,” Fogarty said.
“I jumped a little early, and was lucky to get a little bit of a sit, so yeah, fluked it a bit.
“The sort of shelter there blocks the wind a little bit, so it’s a bit of a cruisy shot.”
Fogarty combined with teammate Taylor Walker for 10 goals on Sunday, with the No. 32 full of praise for his veteran teammate.
“Yeah, it was really good, I think we sort of clicked today, and Tex was on fire,” Fogarty said.
“So, when he’s firing like that, it’s just sort of easy.
“He takes the main man, and then a lot of the other forwards can sort of just play. It’s really good.”
With Round 15 in the books, Fogarty and his teammates will quickly turn their attention to Melbourne on Saturday.
“Yeah it should be a good test,” he said.
“They’re going well again, we just need to bring four quarters of footy.”
