Co-captain Erin Phillips and first-year forward Ruth Wallace have tied for the Crows Women’s Leading Goalkicker Award.
Phillips and Wallace each kicked seven goals to finish equal-seventh in the AFLW goalkicking in 2018.
Phillips, 32, kicked all of her goals in two dominant performances.
After missing the opening fortnight of the season through injury, the reigning AFLW Best and Fairest reminded the football world of her brilliance with a career-high four goals against the Western Bulldogs in Round Three.
The premiership player and All Australian’s fourth goal against the Bulldogs – a brilliant snap from the boundary line to seal the win for Adelaide – is a finalist for Goal of the Year, which was among a swag of awards she claimed in 2017.
Phillips also averaged five score involvements – ranked No.1 in the League among players who played two or more games for the season.
The star Crow finished second in the Club’s goalkicking last year with 10 goals from eight games.
Wallace, 25, was a revelation in her debut AFLW season.
Recruited with pick No.38 in the 2017 draft, the former Junior Matildas soccer representative played every game and provided a spark in attack.
She kicked a personal best three goals against Carlton on her home SANFL club ground, Norwood Oval, in Round Five.
Wallace also used her class to deliver the ball to teammates, ranked No.1 at the Club for inside 50ms and score assists.
A noted goalkicker, Wallace topped the Adelaide Footy Women’s League goalkicking playing for Adelaide University last year.
