Ricky Henderson won’t take his place in the Crows team to play Fremantle in the Indigenous Round clash at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
Henderson, who was a late withdrawal against Greater Western Sydney last weekend because of a back complaint, was named in the Adelaide team on Thursday night but failed to train on Friday.
The wingman has been replaced in the side by emergency Brodie Martin, who will play his first game of the season against the unbeaten Dockers. Martin played a career-best 17 matches for the Crows in Season 2014.
Midfielder Sam Kerridge, who will miss six weeks with an ankle injury, is the only out from last week's trip toe Western Sydney. Kerridge doesn’t require surgery, but will spend three weeks wearing a moon boot.
Defenders Rory Laird and Luke Brown have both overcome concussions sustained in Adelaide’s loss to GWS. However, wingman Brodie Smith will miss another week as he continues to recover from his second concussion of the season against St Kilda in Round Seven. Smith is expected to train fully next week with the aim of being available for Adelaide’s clash with Carlton.
Reilly O'Brien, Kyle Hartigan and draftee Harrison Wigg are the emergencies.

In positive news for the Club, Sam Shaw and Rory Atkins will make their long-awaited returns from injury in the SANFL on Saturday. Hartigan has also been included after serving a one-match suspension, while draftee Mitch McGovern will play just his third game of the year.
Shaw hasn’t played at any level since undergoing major hamstring surgery at the end of last season, while Atkins will play his first game since injuring his knee at training in February. Adelaide’s SANFL team takes on Central District at Elizabeth at 2:10pm on Saturday. Ticketed Crows members receive free entry to all of the Club’s SANFL matches.
